I recently received my BS in biology from Central Michigan University. In addition, I have an Associate of Arts degree from Delta College. I have experience in microbiology, anatomy and physiology, genetics, botany, cell biology, microscopy, and zoology.
I enjoy helping young (K-6) students understand basic scientific principles. I believe that having a grasp on how the world around you works is of utmost importance. Your student and I will go over many areas of science and have fun along the way. I have several enjoyable and safe experiments that we can perform together. I even have a small lab coat that students can wear! To me, science is only boring if you think of it that way.
I am also more than willing to work with older students, from junior high to college undergraduate level. If you or someone you know is struggling with biology, give me a try! I have taken most of Delta College's biology classes, so I have an idea as to what you are dealing with.
In my free time, I enjoy playing roller derby, spinning yarn, making jewelry, and doing many other crafts.
