I may be new to tutoring, but I promise to work as hard as I can to help you learn whatever it is you need to learn!
Rest assured, I do have some teaching experience - first as a TA in graduate school in Colorado, and more recently as a TA at Harvard. In both cases I taught classes in physics and chemistry and helped students with their homework assignments. In addition to my background in the sciences, I am also highly knowledgeable in the areas of math, history, grammar and vocabulary.
My schedule is very flexible, and I'm available most evenings and weekends. My style of teaching/tutoring is structured but also friendly and conversational - I want to make sure you don't just memorize everything but that you actually understand the larger concepts. A key factor in achieving this is motivation - before you can learn anything, you have to *want* to learn. In this regard, I'm pretty good at making even the driest subject matter interesting, whether by relating it to real-world problems, showing how it is relevant to daily life, or sometimes simply by illustrating the value of knowledge for its own sake.
So, give me a try - I think you'll be happy with the results!
