I am able to tutor high school and college English Language and Theatre Arts, for which I am permanently certified as a Language Arts Teacher, grades 6-12, in NY State and the State of Illinois. I am able to teach you the formula for how to write a five paragraph essay, which will be helpful to you for the rest of your life in writing the essays and papers that are required in all of the disciplines you will study in high school, college, as well as later on in your in your professional career, as business reports and official emails are written based on the five paragraph essay, as well.
ESL and college Composition and Speech students are also encouraged to respond, as I can help rewrite and edit your essays and papers, having taught College Composition for many years. I can assist you in researching your Composition, Literature or Speech Topic;, and composing the speech outline, and I can comment upon and guide you in the delivery of your speech, the quality of your voice and gestures, the ease of your delivery, and the confident relationship you can establish with your audience. Deliver your speech to me before you deliver your Speech before your class and your Instructor! We will rehearse until you feel comfortable, and when you deliver your Speech in front of your class your confidence will be apparent, and your Speech will be a resounding success. I have much exprience with performance anxiety, as I struggled with it myself, but as I was trained in my professional acting school, I was taught how to deal with performance anxiety, and after directing many stage productions, I now never experience performance anxiety. I can teach you how to get your attention away from yourself and onto your audience, an integral part to conquering performance anxiety.
ESL speakers of English also experience many symptoms of performance anxiety because, in essence, that's what ESL speakers of Engish are doing -- performing before an audience of speakers of a language other than their own, but it is more intimate and possibly more intimidating. I can help you obtain power and control over your speaking voice and gain confidence so you speak English like others around you, using the correct pronounciation of English words, and I can instruct you, as well as help you rehearse, what English words and phrases would be best and most appropriate for you to use in business and in your everyday personal life so that you can communicate more effectively in both, confident of your ability to speak and articulate the language as a means to communicate effectively and free of anxiety.
