Students often struggle not because they lack ability, but because a concept has not yet been explained in a way that makes sense to them. I provide personalized tutoring in mathematics, chemistry, biology, French, and academic writing for middle school, high school, and introductory college students. My goal is to help each student understand the reasoning behind the material, strengthen weak foundations, and become more confident working independently.
I have more than three years of experience providing independent tutoring through online and in-person sessions. At the University of Mount Saint Vincent, I worked as a Supplemental Instructor and have also been hired as a STEM and writing tutor. These roles reflect my ability to support students across technical and communication-based subjects. My lessons are structured around each student's needs. I identify the source of the difficulty, then use clear steps, visual explanations, analogies, guided questions, and targeted practice to make the material easier to understand. Rather than simply giving answers, I guide students through problems and ask them to explain their reasoning so I can confirm that the concept is truly understood.
I am patient, attentive, and adaptable. Whether a student needs to rebuild foundational skills, improve a grade, prepare for an exam, strengthen an essay, or become more organized and confident, I adjust my approach to support that goal. Each session is focused, encouraging, and productive. I want students to leave with more than a completed assignment; I want them to develop a clearer way of thinking, a stronger approach to future challenges, and greater confidence in their ability to succeed.
