I have 10 years of teaching experience. I've helped hundreds of students identify specific, concrete ways to improve their performance in a wide variety of subjects.

In addition to tutoring 5-10 students a week, I teach SAT classes for a national company, and I also teach philosophy at Georgia Perimeter College. So you can tell I love to teach!

I have been working with students in math since I was in high school myself. I tutored students throughout college and beyond and have worked with students in all math subjects from 6th grade through calculus. I work with a lot of students in calculus and pre-calculus and I enjoy those more difficult subjects the best.

Calculus

I took the AB and BC calculus exams in high school. Since then, I've worked with half a dozen or so students taking calculus either in college or high school. Logic

I am familiar with standard first-order predicate logic up through introductory modal logic. I am really good at derivations and proofs and I enjoy doing them.

Most of what I know I learned through a graduate-level symbolic logic course, for which I earned an "A." I also taught introductory level critical thinking classes for 2 years.

SAT Math

I been teaching SAT prep classes to groups of 4-12 students since July 2011. I have also tutored many students one-on-one. I know the content of the test like the back of my hand, and I know lots of little tricks and strategies to help you bring your scores up.
I ask my students to determine their "baseline" score by taking a practice test, and to decide what their target score is (usually based on what college they want to attend). Based on this information, we can determine how much work they need to do and in what areas, so we can develop a plan to get them from point A to point B.
