Hello!

My name is Ashton. I am a fun, friendly, outgoing person, and I am starting my career in education.

I am currently working towards my Bachelors in Math with a Minor in Secondary Education, Eventually to become a high school level math teacher.

In the past I have been educated or have worked in fields relating to: computer science, business, public speaking, DJ Entertainment, Video production, photography, algebra, geometry, statistics, physics, auto repair, construction, and more.

I have been a part of the Boy Scouts of America (rank of Eagle) and Outdoor Lab Education with Jefferson County Public Schools.

I participated in the Quiz Bowl competition in which our group placed 2nd in our district and 4th in state in the Skills USA program.

I would love to help you, your family or friends with whatever area I am able. Making learning fun is a main priority. I try to relate problems to everyday life to help my student have a better grasp on the subject they are struggling with.

Astronomy

Taking astronomy in college was great. Learning about things that are so big and great remind me how small we truly are.

Astronomy is not just stars and planets, but also physics and math. How planets move and their actions are almost all math. People forget this and it can be hard to grasp the concepts.

Sometimes grammar and punctuation can hold people back. Small problems can be embarrassing and unfortunately can become big problems down the road.

I will use a variety of methods to discover any problems you might be having. Once we see where you are having problems we will look at ways to help you identify and correct the issues you are having.

Photoshop can open many doors when you know the basics of how to use it!

A huge worry for for parents and students of high school is the ACT. A lot of time math is a huge concern.

I have worked for a video production company for the past 5 years.

Over the past several years I have worked as a professional photographer.

Shoots that I have been a part of include: Corporate head shots, senior shoots, weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, college graduations, proms, family portraits, etc.

Public Speaking

My public speaking knowledge is varied: I took theater classes in high school, I took public speaking classes in college, and I have been a DJ entertainer for 6 years.

Macintosh

I am highly proficient in Mac applications and use. I have used a MAC all my life. In addition I took 2 years of computer science at a trade school.

Microsoft Windows

I have been involved in many computer environments over the years. I grew up with a stepfather who is now a Senior Database Administrator. In high school I was able to go to work for his company and help build a Windows server for their company.

After that I was in a 2 year computer science program at a trade school in Lakewood, CO.

Film

For over 5 years I have been part of a production company that has a film department. I have filmed: commercials, weddings, sporting events, music videos, key note speakers, short films, etc.

I am also a cinematography merit badge counselor for the Boy Scouts of America

The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
