My name is Jose. I'm a recent graduate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). I majored in Aerospace Engineering and I am currently in a gap year before continuing on to grad school.
During my four years at MIT, I worked for the Office of Engineering Outreach Programs (OEOP) as an educator within its local and national programs. In particular, I have taught courses in Algebra, Geometry, Statistics, and Aeronautics to students in middle school and high school. Additionally, I also helped my peers with school and at times acted as an official TA for courses such as Aerodynamics and Propulsion.
I currently work for a reputable private SAT company, and so I am an expert when it comes to the math section. I myself got a perfect score on the GRE math and scored in the 97th percentile on the SAT. Moreover, I also tutor AP Physics and school math up to AP Calculus.
Teaching has always been a passion of mine, and I love the extra attention I can give my students in a one-on-one session. Further, since not every student catches on to a concept in the same way, I am great at providing different perspectives in order to ensure that my students understand the material in all forms: numerically, conceptually, and physically.
