Finding Midpoints

Question

What would the midpoints of lines TV:  with the endpoints 2,2 and 10,8 and TU: 2,2 and 6,12?

Answer 1

2 + 10 = 12   12 / 2 = 6

2 + 8 = 10   10/ 2 = 5

So the midpoint of TV is (6, 5)

 

(2 + 6)/2 --> 8 / 2 = 4

(2 + 12)/2 --> 14 / 2 = 7

So the midpoint of TU is (4, 7)
