Use the ident markings on the Ruler to adjust the first line indent (sometimes called a "hanging indent") as this will control where the bullet point is located in relation to the rest of the text on the line (bullet point is to the left of the invisible Tab control marking and the rest of the text for that bullet point is to the right of the of invisible Tab control marking. You may wish to show the invisible (hidden) non-printing characters using the Ribbon button on the Home Ribbon. This will let you see the details of what is going on with the positioning of the bullet point and more.

asked 02/23/23Outlook - When I hit tab, it no longer indents the bullet-point in a list
Instead, the bullet point will stay in the same place while my text indents. I remember accidentally clicking an autocorrect option that made it do this, thinking it wouldn't change the preference for each time moving forward. I've already tried going into preferences and autocorrect "as you type"... there is not option for indenting there like I've seen when other people ask this question.
