(12x⁴ - 6x² + 4x) + (6x⁴ - 4x + 27) - (4x⁴ + x² + 12)

=> 12x⁴ - 6x² + 4x + 6x⁴ - 4x + 27 - 4x⁴ - x² - 12 Distribute the negative 1 in front of the last parentheses.

=> 12x⁴ + 6x⁴ - 4x⁴ - 6x² -x² + 4x - 4x + 27 - 12 Rewrite the expression so that like terms are next to each => 14x⁴ -7x²+ 0x +15 other

=> 14x⁴ - 7x² + 15 Simplify
