The total curb weight of a Tundra, a mustang, and smart car is 11150 lbs. The weight of a mustang is 5 lbs less then two smart car. The Tundra weighs 2135 lb more than the mustang. What is the curb weight of each vehicle? Show work

t = the weight of Tundra

m = the weight of Mustang

s = the weight of smart car

 

t + m + s = 11150

 

s = m + 5

t = 2135 + m

 

=> 2135 + m + m + m + 5 = 11150

 

=> 3m + 2140 = 11150

 

=> 3m = 11150 - 2140

 

m = 3003

t = 3003 + 2135 = 5138 lbs
