S=Solar and W=wind.
If Wind generated 52 trillion BTUS more than 8 times Solar than we can say.
W=52+8*S
And if we know that S+W=1033 we can substitute W for =>W=52+8*S
So S+ (52+8S)=1033
Solve for S=> 9S+52=1033=> S=109 trillion Btu.
So Solar energy generate 109 trillion Btu. But what about Wind? You have 2 choices We can use
W=52+8S and Substitute S for 109. or Use S+W=1033 and substitute S for 109.
Ima use S +W=1033.
109+W=1033 => W=925 trillion Btu Check for yourself by trying the other way
In Conclusion Solar Generates 109 trillion Btu and Wind 925 trillion Btu
