A bit complicated but... 1 mol base + 1 mol acid --> 1mol salt, in this case NH4Cl, or NH4+ Major species the ion NH4+. Minor species derive from equilibrium NH4+ <--> H+ + NH3, which leans to the right: NH3, H+.

asked 07/06/20For each solution, write the chemical formulas of the major species present at equilibrium. You can leave out water itself. Keep in mind that NH3 is a weak base.
1.0 mol of HCl is added to 1.0 L of 1.0 M NH3 solution.
Acids: ?
Bases: ?
Other: ?
0.26 mol of NaOH is added to 1.0 L of a solution that is 1.1 M in both NH3 and NH4Br.
Acids: ?
Bases: ?
Other: ?
