x = first angle
It tells us the second angle is four times the measure of the first angle:
x = first angle
4x = second angle
It also tells us they're supplementary. So we just add them up and set them equal to 180:
x + 4x = 180
5x = 180

x = 36
4x = 4 *36 = 144
