It is not clear if you want to archive your Outlook mail (file-clean up tools-archive, or Google "outlook archive function" and go to the MS support site for version specific procedures) or if you want to add your hotmail to your outlook (pop3 mail retrieval) .

Google "outlook pop3 hotmail settings" and follow the instructions if this is what you want. Google also shows all specific settings you would need in the search results section.

Mail is normally deleted from the pop3 server when it is pulled by outlook to your computer. You can change that if you need to access your hotmail emails using outlook on more than one machine. The MS support site will tell you how.
