Could you help me solve this equation: x(x+3)+18

this equations directions was to use the zero product property to solve and check your answer.

you need to multiply what's inside the parenthesis(x+3) with that is beside the parenthesis, x.

 so X x X and X x 3 = x^2 and 3x 

sk the problem turns out to be x^2 + 3x +18

does it want you to solve for x or does it want an answer like this?
