Emma says that she can prove that 8 + 3 = 7 + 4. How could she use a number rack to prove her thinking?

draw a number rack or explain in writing

Do two number racks each with two rows. The first row is the first number and the second is the second number i.e. the first row will have 8 beads on the left and the second will have 3 this equals 11. Repeat for the second number rack. Each double rack will 11 beads on the left .
