 Then you need to find the FORMULA for the PERIMETER for that shape.

  Next, you calculate the perimeter of the garden using the formula.

  Finally you multiply that number times $6. This is because every 4 feet 

 of fence costs $24. So that is $6 per foot.

 

 For example, suppose the garden is a square with side measure 10 feet.

 The formula for the perimeter of the square is 4*S

 where S is the measure of the side.

 

 So the perimeter is 4*10 = 40 feet

 

 The price is then 40  x  $6 = $240
