Let me take care of the bracket first.

 

s+3(s-31)                      Use the distributive property

s+3s-93                         Combine like terms

4s-93                             This is the value of the bracket.

2[4s-93]=18                  Use the Distributive Property

8s-186= 18                    Add 186 to both sides

    +186  +186

8s   = 204                      Divide both sides by 8

  s= 25.5
