an object is held with two ropes the ropes make an angel of 130 with echother. the tension in the ropes are 1500N and 800N what is the mass of the object?

 the ropes make a v patter to the object the angel is 130

If the 2 cables have the same length, the answer is correct.  Since no information is given about the length of the cables, I assumed they are the same.  If there is information missing from the problem statement, I suggest you send me a copy of the EXACT problem with the EXACT diagram, as given in your book, and I will take another look at it.
