The equation m^2x^2 - (m+n)x + n =0 has two equal real roots.show that n^2 + 2(m-2m^2)n + m^2 = 0. If n is real, find the range of values of m

Please help me in this question

Sorry sir i am getting m^2 + n^2 + 2mn + 4m^2n = 0 and the other equation i am getting the sam answer but different sign rather than + 4m^2n i am getting - 4m^2n

You got exactly what you should have gotten! Your only mistake was thinking you made one. Remember that they wanted you to get:
n2 + 2(m-2m2)n + m2 = 0
Well, if you distribute the 2 and the n through the middle term, you get:
 
n2 + 2mn -4m2n + m2 = 0
 
...which means your answer matches theirs! You are home-free now!

The discriminant is B- 4AC, not B2 + 4AC.
