A really crude estimate is to figure that the average weight per can might be (36 + 9)/2 = 22.5 oz and the multiply by 21.

brooke brought a box of cans to contribute to her school's canned food drive. the smallest can weighed 9 oz , the largest can weighed 36 oz.
