Im always getting confused on the point slope form and standard form equations and how to correctly solve them .

Point-Slope Form: y - y₁ = m(x - x₁₎

Standard Form: ax + by = c

5x - 2y = 10

-2y = -5x + 10

y = (5/2)x - 5    The slope is 5/2.

 

y - 2 = (-5/2)(x - 10)

y = (-5/2)x + 25 + 2

y = (-5/2)x + 27      The slope is -5/2.

 

y = (-5/2)x - 10     The slope is -5/2.
