I do not know how to write an equation with model situations. I do not understand. Using linear models are so difficult.

A linear model is a mathematical equation describing some event in the world.

It can be as simple as:

You leave your house to got to work. You work at a restaurant 30 miles away. The speed limit is 30 mph. How long would it take for you to get to work?

The equation modeling this is:

time = distance / rate      

t = 30 miles / 30 mph = 1 hour
