The two sides measure 33 inches and 56 inches. What should the measure of the hypotenuse be in order for this to be a right ?
Using Pythagoras theorem = a2 = b2 + c2
where a = hypotenuse, b & c = sides
a = ?
b = 33in
c = 56in
we'd have
a2 = (33)2 + (56)2
a2 = 1089 + 3136
a2 = 4225
a = √4225
a = 65in
so the hypotenuse would be 65 inches
