where a = hypotenuse, b & c = sides

a = ?

b = 33in

c = 56in

 

we'd have

a² = (33)² + (56)²

 

a² = 1089 + 3136

 

a² = 4225

 

a = √4225

 

a = 65in

 

so the hypotenuse would be 65 inches
