I need to find the cost of buying and laying tiles

In the problem there are three bedrooms that need to be tiled. The tiles are 20cmx20cm and are $25.50 per square metre and cost $25.50 per square metre to lay. Bedroom 1 is 3.6mX3.9m. Bedroom 2 is 3mX4.1m and Bedroom3 is 3.4mX3.1m. I need to quote how much would it cost to buy and lay the tiles. Add 5% wastage.

area of room 1 = 3.6 x 3.9 = 14.04 square meter

area of room 2 = 3.0 x 4.1 = 12.30 square meter

area of room 3 = 3.4 x 3.1 = 10.54 square meter

total area = 36.88 square meter

cost of buying and laying 1 square meter = 25.50 + 25.50 = $51

total cost before adding wastage = 36.88 x 51 = $1,880.88

to add 5% wastage, multiply the total by 1.05

total including wastage = $1,880.88 x 1.05 = $1,974.924
