You can roll six different numbers with one toss of a number cube. You can roll eleven different numbers with one toss of two number cubes. How many different numbers can you roll with one toss of three number cubes?

The possoble totals when rolling 3 
standard 6 sided dice are:
3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13,
14, 15, 16, 17, 18
 
That is 16 possible totals.
