There are 4 digits so the sum is the sum ob 4 digits.  The only possible values for the digits is 0, 1, 2, 3 because any other digits would have a sum greater 6.  Since the number is odd, the units digit must be 1, since we want the greatest 4 digit number.  Then the number must be 3201.
