Density is in grams/ml, so we must either convert that to kg per ml or convert 946 kg to grams. I would choose the latter conversion. 1 kg = 1000 grams, so 946 kg is the same as 946,000 grams. Now an equation can be set up as follows:
0.0881 g / 1 ml = 946,000 g / X ml. Solving for X: X = (946,000 x 1) / 0.0881 = 10,737,797 ml. However, the answer must be in liters (1 liter = 1000 ml), so we have 10,737,797 / 1000 = 10737.797 liters (almost 10,738 liter containers).
(Alternatively, we could have converted the 0.0881 g/ml to 0.0881 kg/liter. Then the equation would have been only one, and is solved by dividing 946 by 0.0881 to get the 10,738 result!)
