It's not clear from your question what is meant by "king letter" and "Selma".  I expect "king" refers to Martin Luther King Jr.  The letter may be referring to King's Letter from a Birmingham Jail, which may be his most well-known letter.  Selma is a city in Alabama, but in this context it probably refers to the Selma-to-Montgomery March in 1965.
