First let's get x out of the denominator by multiplying each side by x.
(2x+1/x)*x=(3/2)*x ---> 2x+1=3x/2
2x+1=3x/2 Next, we can make all of the terms whole by multiplying each side by 2. This way, we won't have to deal with fractions.
(2x+1)*2=(3x/2)*2 ---> 4x+2=3x
4x+2=3x Now we can solve for x.
4x-3x+2=0 ---> x+2=0 ---> x=-2
The solution is x=-2
