g(x)=2x^3+11x-15

To find f(x) + g(x) we simply add together the expressions representing these functions:

        f(x) = 3x³ - 5x² + 9x + 7

   +  g(x) = 2x³ + 0x² + 11x - 15

   -------------------------------------

       Sum = 5x³ - 5x² + 20x - 8 (our answer)

 

Arithmetic operations on function follow the same rules as arithmetic operations on numbers.
