This is going to require the FOIL method. (FOIL = First Outside Inside Last)
So this means we need to multiply the first term in each set of parentheses (which in this case would be "Xsquared and "X") which gives us "Xcubed".
Next we need to multiply the "outside" terms together (which are the "Xsquared" and the "2") which gives us "2Xsquared"
Next we need to multiply the two "inside" numbers (the "1" and the "X") together which just gives us "X".
Then we need to multiply the last terms in each set of parentheses (which are the "1" and "2") together which gives us "2".
Lastly we just add all the terms up which should be Xcubed + 2Xsquared + X + 2.
