While he resisted the idea, he quickly took to her after just a few minutes allowing me to feel comfortable leaving him to learn from her right away. I love the fact that she is not a full-time teacher and, therefore, is not burnt out and seems to take on all of her students with as much energy as if they were her full-time students. My son had his own cubby and notebook where he recorded all of the new material he learned. She took the time to really know him and even tailored his lessons around.

I highly recommend Deloris. She has an upbeat and encouraging manner and gets a lot done in one session. She is very well organized and makes great use of the hour session. I like how each session involved work on skills like practicing short vowels or blends, contextual reading, and also sentence writing. I was impressed with how skillfully she uses a variety of online tools and games to foster learning.

She is knowledgeable of OrtonGillingham method and keeps my child focused and on task. In addition to her lesson, she plays Greek / Latin flash card game for the end of the lesson for a fun activity.
