Hi, I’m Molly – your go-to college application coach and essay expert!

I’m a licensed high school counselor with years of experience guiding students through one of the most exciting (and stressful!) seasons of their academic journey: college applications. I bring a calm, encouraging presence to the process—and take pride in being the reliable support students need so parents don’t have to be the nags!

My academic background includes a Psychology degree from Marquette University (where I graduated from the Honors Program and earned a $25,000 scholarship for essay writing) and a Master’s in School Counseling from DePaul University (3.9 GPA). With a strong foundation in writing and public speaking (plus a Theater minor!), I specialize in helping students craft compelling, authentic college essays that stand out.

Over the past ten years, I’ve supported students with:

College essay brainstorming, editing, and polishing

Staying organized with deadlines and application checklists

Career exploration and resume-building

Mock interviews and scholarship applications

I read and review dozens of essays each year and truly love helping students discover their voice. My approach is thoughtful, nonjudgmental, and always tailored to where each student is in their journey. I’m here to celebrate their strengths, encourage their growth, and reduce the overwhelm that can come with big decisions and looming deadlines.

If you're looking for a responsive, professional, and upbeat guide through the college process, I’d love to connect! Message me with any questions—let’s take this one step at a time, together.

Public Speaking

Public Speaking

As a high school student, I served on student council and as vice president of our debate team (giving speeches regularly). In college, I earned a minor degree in theater arts, holding lead roles all four years I attended. Currently, as a school counselor, I regularly present material to students and parents alike in large groups (typically 200-500 at a time).
Study Skills

Study Skills

I have been a licensed school counselor for high school students for the past three years, regularly working with students to build better study skills and habits. Using research-based methods, I have helped students find success in their studying and school work.
