Hello, I’m Kimberly, a Registered Nurse with more than 28 years of clinical experience and a master’s degree in Nursing Education from Western Governors University. Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of settings and have consistently gravitated toward roles that allow me to teach, mentor, and support others. Serving as a preceptor has been one of the most rewarding parts of my work, whether I was training new graduates or helping experienced nurses transition into new roles. My goal has always been twofold: to ensure patients receive excellent, safe care, and to help nurses build the confidence and competence they need to thrive. In my current position, I also serve as a clinical educator, working one-on-one with new hires and leading both small-group and large-group trainings in a classroom setting.
I bring this same passion for teaching into my tutoring practice. I work with nursing students at all levels, from fundamentals through graduate coursework, as well as nurses preparing for the NCLEX-PN and NCLEX-RN exams. I tailor each study plan to the individual, recognizing that every learner brings unique strengths, challenges, and goals. While most of my students are adult learners, I also have experience supporting teens who are beginning their nursing journey. In addition to nursing content, I enjoy helping students strengthen their writing, proofreading, and Microsoft Office skills—tools that are essential for academic and professional success.
My goal as a tutor is to empower students to reach their full potential by providing clear guidance, structured support, and a learning environment that builds independence and confidence. I welcome any questions and look forward to partnering with you as you work toward your academic and professional goals.
