Hello, I’m Kimberly, a Registered Nurse with more than 28 years of clinical experience and a master’s degree in Nursing Education from Western Governors University. Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of settings and have consistently gravitated toward roles that allow me to teach, mentor, and support others. Serving as a preceptor has been one of the most rewarding parts of my work, whether I was training new graduates or helping experienced nurses transition into new roles. My goal has always been twofold: to ensure patients receive excellent, safe care, and to help nurses build the confidence and competence they need to thrive. In my current position, I also serve as a clinical educator, working one-on-one with new hires and leading both small-group and large-group trainings in a classroom setting.

I bring this same passion for teaching into my tutoring practice. I work with nursing students at all levels, from fundamentals through graduate coursework, as well as nurses preparing for the NCLEX-PN and NCLEX-RN exams. I tailor each study plan to the individual, recognizing that every learner brings unique strengths, challenges, and goals. While most of my students are adult learners, I also have experience supporting teens who are beginning their nursing journey. In addition to nursing content, I enjoy helping students strengthen their writing, proofreading, and Microsoft Office skills—tools that are essential for academic and professional success.

My goal as a tutor is to empower students to reach their full potential by providing clear guidance, structured support, and a learning environment that builds independence and confidence. I welcome any questions and look forward to partnering with you as you work toward your academic and professional goals.

I am an experienced nurse leader and educator with a strong background in academic and professional writing. I help students develop clear, well-structured essays by focusing on organization, critical thinking, and strong evidence-based arguments. I enjoy helping learners build confidence in their writing while developing skills that support long-term academic success.
Microsoft Outlook

Microsoft Outlook

I have used Microsoft Outlook for over twenty years in my professional career, my educational pursuits, and in my personal life. I routinely utilize Outlook to view my emails from multiple different accounts on this one platform. I utilize different folders to organize content I need to save and I have further organized incoming mail by directing it to folders automatically. My inbox is also organized by assigning different people or groups of people different colors and different fonts to make it easier to prioritize emails. In addition to email, I use the outlook calendar for work for over 16 years. I have all my appointments and utilize different features to set reminders, assist with scheduling, and share my schedule with those needing to coordinate care.
Microsoft PowerPoint

Microsoft PowerPoint

I have used PowerPoint for multiple presentations over the past ten years while in school for my Bachelors and Masters degrees and for work. I’ve worked as a nurse educator which requires many presentations.

I am proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. I have used these programs throughout my career and through school for both bachelor's and master's degrees. I would love to help others optimize the use of these tools.
NCLEX

NCLEX

I am a registered nurse and healthcare leader with extensive clinical experience and a passion for helping nursing students succeed on the NCLEX. I specialize in teaching students how to break down NCLEX-style questions, prioritize patient care, and apply critical thinking strategies that the exam is designed to test. My sessions focus on understanding why answers are correct, improving test-taking confidence, and strengthening clinical reasoning skills. Whether you are preparing for the NCLEX for the first time or need help after an unsuccessful attempt, I provide supportive, structured guidance to help you feel confident and exam-ready.
Nursing

Nursing

I am an experienced registered nurse and nurse leader who enjoys helping nursing students succeed in both coursework and NCLEX preparation. I tutor a variety of nursing topics, including fundamentals, medical-surgical nursing, prioritization, and clinical reasoning. My teaching approach focuses on breaking down complex concepts, strengthening critical thinking, and helping students understand how to apply knowledge to exam-style questions and real clinical situations. I strive to create a supportive learning environment where students can build confidence and succeed in nursing school.
Pharmacology

Pharmacology

Pharmacology is an integral part of my nursing practice. Medication reconciliation is a key component of a home health RN's job duty. It is imperative to know and understand the names of the different medications, the mechanism of action, potential side effects/adverse events, and nursing considerations to teach patients and caregivers how to be independent with self-administration or assisting with the administration of medication.
Proofreading

Proofreading

After several years of both BSN and MSN studies, I have written countless research papers requiring APA formatting. I enjoy the process of researching and editing until the paper conveys the message as intended with proper formatting. I enjoy helping others achieve their paper-writing goals.
