Caring, professional tutor

Jerome has been excellent with helping my 8 year old daughter improve her reading and spelling skills. I highly recommend Jerome.

I finally found a tutor who "gets" it

We realized too late (at the end of first grade) that our student was a struggling reader. Moreover, we learned that she was being taught to read using a method called "Balanced Literacy". This method de-emphasizes phonics instruction and only works for 60% of kids. After researching, we realized we needed a tutor trained in the Orton Gillingham method to help us determine gaps and get our student reading at grade level. Jerome has a way of pushing our student to read even when she is having a bad day. We are especially happy that Jerome has offered to connect with our new teacher to explain our ongoing work this summer. We highly recommend Jerome!
