Ready to help with your Physics, Engineering, or Calculus (Engineering-focused mathematics) needs. Based on a 30 year career spent teaching science and engineering, doing science and engineering, and leading teams of scientists and engineers, I've got the background and skills to help you along.

My objective is to both help you through any immediate need (getting ready for exams, etc.) while establishing the fundamental building blocks going forward that you'll need as you continue your learning. Ultimately, my goal is to put myself out of a job - I want to give you the tools to move forward on your own.

I hold a Ph.D. in Physics, with a focus on theoretical astrophysics, and hold B.Sci. degrees in both Aerospace and Electrical Engineering. This background allows me to help students find and exploit common threads that underpin ALL their STEM based studies, while simultaneously addressing their immediate needs.

I can bridge the gap between real-world applications of calculus (such as calculus in engineering and science) and the "pure" calculus taught by University Math Departments. Translating between the esoteric/theoretical and the practical is a specialty, and can really pay off when working to get a practical, working knowledge of math techniques.

I have over thirty years' experience teaching astronomy, physics and engineering to undergraduates (in the University environment) and employees (in the workplace). I can help you in physics areas ranging from introductory mechanics to advanced topics in the field. Electrical engineering topics where I can help range from circuits and power distribution systems to digital signal processing and radio frequency (RF) topics, while Aerospace engineering areas include fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, gas dynamics, and air vehicle topics. My science and engineering background is at your disposal to help you understand the specifics of the knowledge you're working on, and to understand the connections between the various fields.

MATLAB

MATLAB

Physicist and Engineer with over 25 years' experience with matlab. Help and tutoring will focus on key concepts (e.g. "what is matlab actually doing when you use sophisticated functions?"). My experience will most help students that are working DSP, with analysis in the time and frequency domains, and those using Sysgen, the Xilinx-based Simulink environment for FPGA development.

Excellent Tutor! Patient and Very Knowledgeable

Anthony assisted me with my Matlab program that was still missing code. He patiently gave me insight to how my functions work and help me produce my desired output. He also shared some tips that helped me better understand my DSP system.

Knowledgeable and Patient

Anthony is teaching Circuits to my daughter for her Engineering undergraduate class. My daughter is gained more confidence while taking classes from him. We recommend Anthony to anyone who are willing to increase their knowledge in their subjects.

Patient and understanding

Tony was very kind and took the time to break down the concepts of circuit analysis in a way I was able to retain. I'm very pleased with his help and I plan on reaching out to Tony again if I need. He's wonderful.

Excellent tutor, best one out there

Anthony helped me go from not understanding a single thing in my physics-based astronomy class to feeling confident that I could ace my final exam. He is very patient and enthusiastic about what he does. He is a fantastic listener and I would recommend him to anyone who is struggling with any of the topics he covers. 10/10.
