I am a certified teacher and trained in the Orton Gillingham method that helps students with dyslexia and other reading challenges become successful, skilled readers. With my dual background in social work, I bring care, compassion, and patience to each tutoring session. I love working 1:1 with students to determine both their strengths and challenges, help them work through challenging material, and build their confidence in their own abilities.

I am also a parent of a child with multiple learning challenges. Homeschooling him led me to further my own education on dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD, and the best methods to help people remember what they have learned.

I have taught all levels of elementary math in the classroom. I have also worked through elementary math curriculum with my own homeschooled children and other tutoring clients. Math is my favorite subject and I enjoy helping it make sense to all children.
