I have taught English, math, social studies and science in Japan, China and Thailand. I love teaching and hope to be an educator for as long as possible. I am passionate about reading, writing and arithmetic. Most importantly, my goal is for my students to discover the joy of being a lifelong learner.

For me, one of the biggest factors determining academic success is the attitude that a child has toward a given subject. If a child lacks confidence or interest in a subject, the only way to change this perspective is to find a really good teacher. Really good teachers have fun with their students while they teach and they are well-liked by their students. Since I started teaching seven years ago, making learning fun has always been a priority. I have also never worked at a school where I was not popular amongst the students. Regardless of the content, if students like their teacher and look forward to fun, interactive lessons, they will certainly perceive that given subject in a more positive light.
I graduated from college with distinct honors and even became fluent in Japanese. I always did very well in school and I know what it takes to do succeed in the world of academia. I sincerely look forward to helping you and/or your child.

TESOL (Teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages)
JLPT N2 (Japanese Language Proficiency Test)
WEST-B (96% or greater in math, reading and writing)
NES 102/103 (95% or greater in math, history, science and English)
NES 151 (96% on English Language Learners exam)
