My road to math was long and windy. Paying attention to lectures was a struggle when I was younger and the feeling of being overwhelmed and behind is very familiar to me. It wasn't until much later that I was exposed to a different way of thinking about math that was engaging enough to make me want to return to school and pursue a degree in mathematics. If you are struggling, it is my hope that we can work together to find the way of thinking about math that is engaging for you.

I have two years of experience teaching algebra and precalculus to undergraduate college students at Western Washington University where I am currently finishing my Masters degree in mathematics. I also graduated with an Bachelors Degree in mathematics from the University of Washington at Bothell where I worked as a teaching assistant for courses in real analysis and abstract algebra. It was there that took courses in abstract algebra, linear algebra, real analysis, complex analysis, numerical analysis, topology and combinatorics, among others. I did my coursework in calculus and introductory linear algebra in the Seattle Community College system. Additionally, I did undergraduate research in the areas of matrix theory, graph theory and complex analysis. I have experience tutoring algebra, precalculus, linear algebra, abstract algebra and formal logic and my favorite math topics are linear algebra and discrete math/combinatorics/graph theory.
