I have a genuine love of language and helping people learn. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
My sessions are entirely student-focused and communicative. I work with your needs with the goal of helping you become a more successful communicator in English. I encourage student speaking at all times, even when the focus is on the other skill areas of reading, listening, and writing. You as the learner are the focus of the lesson, and your goals are important, so I tailor my sessions to work with your needs and goals so that the English you learn is useful for how you will use English. Most of all, I make sessions enjoyable, fun, and fulfilling, allowing students to finish their session knowing they've learned something new and taking another step toward proficiency.
I have been working in English language education for over seven years. I am TESOL certified and have a Master's degree in Linguistics. I've lived and taught in Rabat, Morocco, and San Jose, Costa Rica, working directly with students from those countries and well as others in the region. I've also taught in the United States, working mainly with university-bound students from Saudi Arabia, China, Japan, South Korea, France, Spain, Colombia, and Brazil, just to name a few. I have also trained teachers and managed language-learning programs, developing curriculum and content for English learners.
