I’ve spent the last 14 years researching, writing, and teaching history. I have been devoted to writing instruction exclusively for the past 6 years.

My goal as a tutor is to quickly identify obstacles, develop a plan going forward, and foster a sense of confidence in the writing process.

I have deep experience working with writers at all levels and can quickly adjust my approach to meet the unique needs of the student.

I have a PhD in American history, where I specialized in post-World War II and focused my dissertation research on the Vietnam War era. I am knowledgeable in the broad history of the US as well as a number of subfields including women’s history and social/cultural history.
