My experience in Los Angeles area private schools as a teacher, Division Coordinator and member of an Advisory Leadership Team over the last 15 years has provided me with the skills and knowledge necessary to join a new Administrative or Admissions team. I have dedicated my career to working at exceptional institutions that value students’ learning and preparedness for the world that awaits them outside of formal education. I first discovered my love of working with youth in 1998 as a camp counselor on Catalina Island. Over the next 19 years, my passion for children and adolescents’ mentorship allowed me to work in a variety of capacities: as a swim instructor, surf instructor, camp counselor, sailing instructor, and as a classroom Middle School Art Teacher for 11 years in Los Angeles. I earned a B.A. in Art Education from the University of Kentucky in 2003 and a M.B.A. from Pepperdine University in 2010.

In order to combine my newly cultivated business sense with my devotion to children’s education, I decided to take a step back from classroom teaching in 2015 to start my own business that provides private swim and surf lessons and promotes water safety for children, was a natural extension of my well defined skill set.

Throughout my tenure as a classroom teacher at Wildwood School, a West Los Angeles private school, I was hired as a Division Coordinator, a role in which I worked for 5 years. It was during this time when I truly realized that I not only wanted to be a part of a school's leadership team but had a natural affinity for it as well. Affecting change and growth as well as supporting teachers and students is something that I would like to continue at a new school. I would like to add to the vibrant energy of an administration, faculty, and students at a Seattle area independent school.
During my 11 years at Wildwood School, I was also directly involved in our Admissions events. We held three Open Houses each year where I was a presenter for our Arts and Advisory programs and a parent and student
