I have a B.A. in English from Duke University. I taught middle school reading & Language Arts for several years. I created my own curriculum, and my students focused on writing well-developed essays and short stories. I also helped students prepare for admission to private high schools, take the ISEE test, and write their high school essays.

I created my own curriculum, and my students focused on writing well-developed essays and short stories. I also helped students prepare for admission to private high schools, take the ISEE test, and write their high school essays.

Now for something a little bit more different! Despite my background in teaching, I currently work as a software engineer! One of my favorite things about tutoring is encouraging students who gravitate towards math and science subjects to hone their writing and communication skills. Writing clearly and effectively will come in handy no matter what path you take!
