I'm a Special Ed Lead/Learning Specialist at my full time 1:1 online school. We have over 200 teachers that I work with-- coaching, tailoring specific resources for ADHD, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Autism, OCD, ODD, and School Refusal. I'm a member with the Orton Gillingham Institute and am also experienced with IXL and many SEL platforms.

My son really enjoyed working with Nancy. He has problems connecting ideas and finding the right words to put on paper. She worked on editing a paper with him. I'm not fond of tutors who actually do the writing and edits. Nancy and my son worked through the paper line by line. She questioned what he wrote when an idea wasn't clear, questioned why he added quotes and its purpose, she offered advice on how to better connect ideas. She helped him edit down his work and go deeper into the work and provide more proof and resources. She did not do the actual work (which we've had other tutors do in the past) which I appreciate. She really made him think about his word choices and why he wrote what he did. I look forward to continue working with Nancy to move his writing along and prepare him for High School.
