Seriously - Shyam is THE.Best.Tutor.Ever!!!!

Shyam is top-notch and could totally charge more than he does, but he truly cares about sharing his knowledge, learning to become a better educator, and being a business professional. I’m an adult student forced to take a college algebra course to enter my program. I have not taken algebra since high school and am old enough to be Shyam's mom. Shyam never made me feel intimidated or stupid. He is extremely supportive, showed me that I could do the work and that I did understand the material. I was often tired and frustrated, but he made this a great experience. I’m sure I was a pain, but Shyam was never frustrated, always patient, had a smile on his face, and a great sense of humor. I have issues focusing and am very easily distracted. This material was painfully boring to me. Shyam kept me on track and on task with the material. He made sure we completed everything. He made me proud of myself and made sure that I was successful. There are a ton of math tutors on here. I searched for a tutor with a reasonable rate, a flexible schedule, located between home & work, and with experience teaching different ages. As there are so many tutors on here, if he didn't deliver for me, I would have moved on to another tutor. Experience in teaching is very important. Shyam is experienced with younger students and is able to deconstruct abstract information and reconstruct it with you at your level and pace. Shyam is beyond a tutor; he is a true educator and a professional passionate about academia. I took an intense 5 week summer course: 6 chapters, 3 tests, and a final, which I took Thursday 8/11. I completed the final and class with a high A!!! I never thought I would get that grade. I started with Shyam before my second test. We went through 3 in-depth chapters of information over 13 sessions. He was flexible enough to meet me last minute when the test and final schedule changed. He accommodated me for extra long 2 hour sessions, even evenings. He is extremely professional, polite, friendly, non-judgmental, & observant. He could tell when I really didn't get something and unlike many university professors and college provided "free" tutors, he was able to present the information in several different ways to confirm my understanding. He came up with examples from thin air for me to practice. He is excellent at breaking down the steps in very simple, clear, easy to understand methods. Teaching math is his job! He knows exactly what he is doing and I was always confident he would get me through it. I could truly go on and on about his excellence. Because of Shyam, I can now enter my program. If you want to be successful in your class, hire Shyam!!!! Thank you so much Shyam for all you did for me, I mean every word!

Shyam is literally the best tutor I have ever had. Shyam is extremely patient and he is great at explaining hard math concepts and making them way easier to understand. If you are struggling with math I definitely recommend having a session with him Thanks to Shyam my confidence in calc 2 has went up.

Let me tell you, this guy right here is one of the top tutors that I know of. With such a fantastic personality and a burning passion for math, you can tell that he has this niche for tutoring. He's patient with what he teaches and is always ready to answer any questions you may have. I personally decided to take AP Calculus AB my senior year of high school; but, I wanted more of a challenge. I made a decision to instead take a much more rigorous course to gain more credits--BC Calculus. That's when my search began. I was thankful enough to find Shyam or else I wouldn't have been able to make it. After months of hard work and meet up times with Shyam, I could see my improvement. He taught me the entire BC curriculum even though I was in AB. Flash forward into the first week of May when I had my BC calculus exam. Going into the exam I was really confident with the material that I learned due to Shyams ability to transfer his love of math onto others. I breezed through the test with a hard confidence that I got a 5. It just so happened that I did actually get a 5 on BC! Enough about me, let's talk about the best person ever. Shyam is one of the best people ever, not only is he extremely smart (valedictorian of his senior class, and also taking Calc 3 in his senior year!) but he is also a kindhearted person with so much going for him. Words can not express his truly gentle and persistent view on math. He gets it naturally, always able to think of easy ways to remember math concepts, and he's also able to think of questions to ask you on the spot. Not only this but if you don't understand something, he won't continue explaining it the same way, he switched up his teaching style. He understands that in order to be a fantastic teacher you have to know how to attack the same concept by more than one angle because not everyone is going to understand things the same way. Through long hours and much frustration (on my end!), after constant moments of giving up, there's one thing that always stayed the same--Shyam. Through his funny jokes, his addictive smile, and his persistence to understand concepts, Shyam's primary goal wasn't to just do a job, it was to help me learn to love math and to learn more about the subject he loves so much. I'm so happy to have found Shyam as a tutor and I completely recommend him to everyone. I'm running out of space soon so I just have one last thing to say. If you're on the fence about picking Shyam as your tutor, I'd jump off the fence real quick, he's fantastic. And if you never considered Shyam being your tutor, well then there's something wrong!

It was just my first session, but he was patient with me. I am a 58 year old who has to take a math class. He is very knowledgeable and met me at ground zero in order to help me prepare for a test. He even gave me homework to help me with my next session.
