I come from a long line of educators. Having graduated summa cum laude from UC Berkeley and then gone on to earn a teaching certificate and two masters degrees, I feel confident that I can help students of all ages and from all walks of life: I have taught at the elementary, junior high, high school, and college levels, and have served districts as a language learning specialist, department chair and English and World Language Instructor. I come from a long line of educators. Having graduated summa cum laude from UC Berkeley and then gone on to earn a teaching certificate and two masters degrees, I feel confident that I can help students of all ages and from all walks of life: I have taught at the elementary, junior high, high school, and college levels, and have served districts as a language learning specialist, department chair and English and World Language Instructor. I value building strong relationships with each student and my teachers who most inspired me as a student serve as my current role models: they were accessible, available, provided ample feedback, and weren't afraid to change courses as my needs evolved. Just as important, they were receptive to the feedback that I gave them.

I have successfully tutored children and adults since 2006 and in helping people reach their educational goals, I am encouraging and non-judgmental.

I have taught high school and college writing courses as well as tutored elementary school students for over 10 years. I have also edited books for publication and am an impeccable writer. As a teacher currently certificated in English I should add that I am trained to work with learning challenges in my students and am skilled at bolstering not only skills but confidence in English native and non-native speakers.

I have a Masters in Comparative Literature and French Language and have 3 years of formal classroom experience as a French teacher of advanced levels in addition to many years tutoring students privately in French language and literature.

I love German Language and Literature so much that I got an MA in it! I continue to love sharing with students my passion for this language and culture and have studied abroad and visited Germany many times. I still have family in Germany and keep my students motivated!

I am a certificated English teacher who has taught high school and college literature courses. As a tutor I break down difficult terminology and give practical and immediately applicable advice on writing persuasive papers for school while infusing a genuine passion for the subject.

I love teaching skills to build confidence in reading in children as well as adults. Each age group presents its own needs and requires different pedagogical approaches, and I have 10 years experience working with beginning or struggling readers as a tutor and certificated teacher.

I was a Russian major at UC Berkeley and then got an MA in comparative literature with primary focus of Russian (and secondary of French). I taught the first two years of Russian at UC Davis.

My Masters is related to Second Language Acquisition and I have successfully helped students prepare for AP, IB and SAT exams in Spanish.
