Damian helped my son prepare for calculus by filling in some of the gaps in his trig knowledge. Damian knew the subject extremely well and was able to explain it in a logical, clear and concise way. He was really good at analyzing my son's weaknesses and focusing on those areas to bring him up to speed. He is extremely nice and encouraging and my son said that he was very good at explaining where he made mistakes and what he should have done instead. He made sure to explain the conceptual part as well as the applied part so my son understood why things were done certain ways. Damian was very thorough and efficient and didn't waste time. He has a really good connection with kids. We will definitely call Damian again if the need arises, he's fantastic!

I started working with Damian for Math 111 at UW. He's very proactive with my lesson material and therefore prepared to explain everything covered in class by the time we meet for sessions, matching the pace of my course beautifully. He's very patient and clear, I'm not embarrassed to ask him the 'obvious/dumb' questions or have him repeat himself several times for my understanding. He's made math really understandable, straightforward, and much less daunting - even with the pressures of university. Finally, he's very flexible with timing, which suits the life of a last-minute student.

My student finds that Damian's approach to teaching is very helpful. He allows him to make mistakes and then walks him through the process of what was done incorrectly and then gets him redirected in a very patient and coherent manner. Without Damian's help, thus far, he would not be doing as well as he has been in pre-calc. Damian is a great fit for our son and we plan to avail ourselves of his services for as long as possible.
