I graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle. I have over 27 years of experience in the healthcare architecture/design industry. I have over 35 years of experience using AutoCAD software (starting with Release 9 in 1982). I use AutoCAD on a daily basis in my A/E firm. I graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle. I have over 27 years of experience in the healthcare architecture/design industry. I have over 35 years of experience using AutoCAD software (starting with Release 9 in 1982). I use AutoCAD on a daily basis in my A/E firm. I have served as CADD Director, as well as assisted other CAD Managers with AutoCAD and Revit setup for previous firms. I've used AutoCAD 2D/3D during design charettes for all projects, client presentations and design meetings for complex, heavy commercial, healthcare and hospital projects. Other software I use on a day-to-day basis include MS PowerPoint (for project interviews, presentations, and design charettes), MS Word, MS Excel, MS Office Project, Navis Works for clash detection, BlueBeam for marking up drawings and coordinating with other disciplines, and Revit for Architecture.

Policy: 2-hour minimum per student / per tutoring session - no exceptions. I work full-time, so request a courtesy 24-hour advanced scheduling notice, as well as 24-hour cancellation notice, from the student.

I received my BArch from the University of Washington in Seattle in 1990, studying under Professor Emeritus, Francis D.K. Ching, whose textbooks are still required reading in architecture schools across the country. For my first heavy commercial project one year out of school, I was the space planner of record for a new molecular biology research facility in Southern California and the project received AIA's Gold Medal of Honor for Space Planning, the highest honor awarded by the American Institute of Architects. I've worked on major healthcare projects with reknowned architects such as Robert Venturi, and have written two published healthcare design articles which are available for reading online. I am EDAC certified to practice healthcare design by The Center For Health Design, and I've worked for major nationally and internationally recognized healthcare firms - HDR, KMD, Lee Burkhart Liu, CollinsWoerman, Clark/Kjos, Mills John & Rigdon as a Senior Project Manager, Senior Medical Planner, and CAD Director.

I have been an independent contractor, providing AutoCAD support to firms and private clients for over 24 years (from AutoCAD Release 9 through the current version of AutoCAD Release 2013), and customizing their AutoCAD software for their employees to better understand and utilize the software to its full potential. I took voice lessons in college for 2 years with renowned vocal coach, Jeff Francis. I competed vocal for talent in multiple local Miss America pageants - Miss Seattle, Miss Kent and Miss Federal Way - winning top 3 in all 3 pageants in the talent competition. I competed vocal for talent at Miss Washington (preliminary to Miss USAsia), winning vocal and eventually winning the title of Miss USAsia 1990 in Houston, Texas, an international title. I'm hired to sing at weddings and have performed at different events to raise money for charity. I am a current mentor for Miss Seafair 2009 and Miss Seafair 2013, both winning vocalists.

Extensive Experience in AutoCad

Mary is very knowledgeable in AutoCad and had a great style for delivering her knowledge and intuition. My reason for four stars instead of five was her not really knowing the Mac based AutoCad as well as the PC based program. I specifically asked for someone with Mac knowledge and we had to spend some time together going through the program trying to figure out how some things were done. Though not a great amount of time, I feel we lost traction and distance as a result of hunting for program actions because of not having intimate knowledge of Mac AutoCad. I would recommend her in a heartbeat with only a small caveat about the Mac applications knowledge base.
